400014 Honeysuckle - Lonicera x heckrottii 'Goldflame'
This honeysuckle, Lonicera heckrotti 'Goldflame' has masses of stunning, brilliant orange-red-cream heavenly scented flowers over a long period during summer and autumn. This vigorous, shrubby honeysuckle is semi-evergreen, and produces red berries in hot summers which the birds enjoy well into the autumn. Lonicera 'Goldflame' will grow in full sun or partial shade and is fully hardy. It enjoys a fertile soil and is very easy to grow. One of the main advantages of this particular variety of honeysuckle, is the fact it doesn't have the twining branches found on most other honeysuckle climbers, so it is best if grown over a wig-wam or trellis. An excellent wildlife garden plant and simply must be planted where the exquisite perfume can really be appreciated. On a sultry, warm summer evening the fragrance will permeate the air and drift you away! Goldflame by name and by nature, fragrant, and highly intoxicating!
